ROME, Ga. – Nova Southeastern track and field runner
Peri Bowman (Sr., Virginia Beach, Va.) was named Peach Belt Conference Runner of the Week for her performance at the Penn Relays.
Bowman set an NCAA provisional time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11.01.9. The senior was one of 12 runners invited to compete in the Olympic development race and her time was the best among collegiate athletes and sixth overall.
Bowman came within three-tenths of a second of breaking her own PBC record in the event and is nearly 20 seconds faster than any other steeplechase run in the PBC this season.
