Armin Hornikel finished tied with teammate Oskar Nordstrand atop the individual point standings at the SSC Championships last week with 57 and was honored as the Most Valuable Swimmer at the event. As a member of four relay teams, Hornikel was able to help NSU set a new SSC record in the 200-yard freestyle relay and finish with an NCAA A-cut time. The 400- free relay team and 400-yard IM relay squad in which Hornikel swam also finished with A-cut times. As an individual, Hornikel set new SSC records in the 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard IM with A-cut times. Hornikel's overall performance helped the men's swimming and diving team capture its second-straight SSC Championship.
