Redshirt junior guard Valley came just an assist shy of a triple-double in NSU’s 77-71 win on the road over Eckerd on Saturday to start the new year. Her 12 rebounds and nine assists both set new career highs, and her 10th point of the night was the final point in the victory.
 
On the season, the Shark newcomer has started all 11 games for the 9-2 team, averaging 9.0 points, a team-best 7.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists. She shoots 45.8 percent from the field and is the team’s leader in 3-point percentage at 44.4 percent.
