Devin Raftery (R-Sr., Deltona, Fla.) was a key piece in the Sharks’ 4-3 walk off win against No. 1 Franklin Pierce University last Saturday to open play for NSU at the NCAA Division II College World Series. Raftery earned the win, tossing five scoreless innings. Earlier in the week, he picked up his 14^th save of the year against No. 14 Delta State University to secure the South Region title and Most Valuable Player honor. For his efforts this season, Raftery was named to the NCBWA All-America Third Team and ABCA All-South Region First Team and received D2CCA All-American Honorable Mention.
