Men's Soccer Outlasts Nighthawks

Following long rain delay, Siedlitzki scores twice to give Sharks first win of season

Anton Siedlitzki (Fr., Munich, Germany) scored two goals and Lorcan Cronin (Sr., Dublin, Ireland) registered another as Nova Southeastern (1-1-0) defeated Thomas University (Ga.) (0-2-0)on Friday night by a score of 3-1.

After rain delayed the start of the match by an hour and 45 minutes, Siedlitzki opened the scoring in the 25th minute, scoring on a header, off of a cross from Adam Majorie (So., Dallas, Texas).

The second half saw three total goals as Cronin tallied his first goal of the season in the 68th minute, chipping it past replacement goalkeeper Jan Feldman, following a cross from defender Joseph Clancy (Sr., Dublin, Ireland).

In the 76th minute, Siedlitzki struck for his second goal of the match, rifling a shot past Feldman from the right side of the box after a feed from Richard Bodek (So., Colonia, N.J.).

Josh Bruno scored the lone goal for the Nighthawks in the 84th minute.

Jarod Rennick (Jr., Allen Texas) picked up the victory for the Sharks, making three saves. Andrew Madero minded the net in the first half for Thomas while Feldman allowed both second half goals.

NSU will be back in action on Friday, September 8th on the road against Alabama-Huntsville.
