FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. The Nova Southeastern volleyball team (6-18, 2-10 SSC) will be looking to rebound from a loss to Lynn this past Saturday, when it makes the trip to Florida Tech Tuesday to take on the Panthers. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Sharks are 2-2 in their last four matches with victories over Central Oklahoma and Barry. NSU has made a renewed commitment to defense in recent weeks, recording eight or more blocks in each of its last five matches, including a 12 block performance against Central Oklahoma.

Graham has also been the leading offensive producer for NSU this season as she has amassed 245 kills for a 2.85 per set mark. Anabely Escarpita (Sr., Boca Raton, Fla.) is also averaging over two kills per set, averaging 2.52 to provide a dynamic tandem for the Sharks. Escarpita has also registered 17 services aces for NSU this season, three ahead of juniors Jordan Pappas (Naperville, Ill.) and Paige Boivin (Plainfield, Ill.), who have both scored 14.

Florida Tech welcomes NSU to the Clemente Center on homecoming night. The Panthers are losers of six straight heading into Tuesday’s contest with their last victory coming at West Georgia Oct. 15 as part of the GSC/SSC Crossover tournament.

Junior Alexis Mastela had been a consistent component of the Panther’s offense this season, currently maintaining a 9.22 assists per set average. She has been setting up a trio of FIT attackers in Caitlyn Ballweber (2.81), Janice Valies (2.58) and Kaitlin Brennan (2.20) that each average over two kills per set.

In the first meeting of the season between these two squads, the Sharks held a 2-0 set advantage before the Panthers stormed back and grabbed a five-set win at NSU Arena Oct. 4.
