FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern athletic department and the baseball team honored alumni JD Martinez and Mike Fiers Friday night for becoming the first two baseball players from NSU to advance to the major league level.

Both Martinez and Fiers were honored with a plaque and a banner that now hangs in centerfield. Both players threw out the first pitch to kick off the 2012 baseball season. Below is a photo gallery of the ceremony.
