Final Results
BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Nova Southeastern women's golf team leapfrogged Winthrop to finish in seventh place on Tuesday at the otherwise Division I field at the Fighting Camel Classic at the Keith Hills Country Club.
The Sharks shot a 315 in the final round to total a 933. Again, the team's lowest scorer was 
Alejandra Velasco (Fr., Jalisco, Mexico) who placed solely in 14th place with a 227 (75-77-75).
Katrina Wang (Fr., Shenzhen, China) and 
Daniela Ortiz (Jr., Morelia, Mexico) tied for 36th with 54-hole scores of 235. Wang went 77-78-80, while Ortiz shot 81-74-80. Teammate 
Rachel Lewis (Sr., Cardiff, Wales) finished a stroke behind in a tie for 38th with a 236 (77-79-80).
Host Campbell won the tournament for the sixth straight time, and has finished in first 13 out of the last 14 years. They topped Old Dominion by 10 strokes (887-897). A golfer for each squad, Campbell's Kaylin Yost and Elizabeth Haycock of Old Dominion, tied for the individual title along with Mary Alice Murphy of Mercer. The trio finished with a 5-over-par score of 221.
The Sharks have their final tournament of the fall season beginning next Monday in Waikoloa, Hawaii. They will take part in the two-day Dennis Rose Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawaii at Hilo, at the Waikoloa Beach Golf Resort .
