Sharks tuned up to face Butler Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m.

BOX SCORE

INDIANAPOLIS – The Nova Southeastern men's basketball team won an exhibition game on the road Sunday against Marian, 64-59. The game served as a tune up for the Sharks' matchup with NCAA Division I Butler Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

NSU, which left campus for Indianapolis before the sun came up in Fort Lauderdale, used the game to get everyone on the roster playing time. The Sharks used several lineups, with 11 players earning at least six minutes. NSU played an even first half with Marian, but caught fire in the second half and led for the majority of the period. NSU drained its first six field goal attempts and shot 52.2 percent from the floor over the last 20 minutes. Marian made it close down the stretch but could not eliminate the deficit.

Brian Cahill (Jr., Arlington, Va.) was the Sharks' leading scorer, with 14 points on 5-for-8 shooting. He also tied the team-best mark of four rebounds and three assists. Justin Jeangerard (Jr., Weaverville, Calif.) scored 10 points, going 2-for-2 from 3-point range and earning the rest of his points at the free throw line. Newcomer Casey Carroll (So., Youngstown, Ohio) and Stian Berg (Jr., Baerum, Norway) each scored nine points on a combined 5-for-11 shooting. Carroll also chipped in four rebounds and three assists.

Mike Terry (Fr., Ironton, Ohio) sat out his first season at NSU, but looked strong to start his collegiate career on Sunday. He shot fifty percent from the floor with seven points, four rebounds and three assists. The rest of the freshman class all received major minutes in their first collegiate exhibitions. Cameron Denney (Norwell, Ind.), Cole Feaster (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), Brandon Patchan (Tampa, Fla.) and Remi Farrell (Woodbridge, Conn.) all combined to score 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting.

Rounding out the box score are starters Chris Page (So., Plainfield, Ind.) and Maurice Fuller (Jr., Westfield, Ind.), who combined for five points and five rebounds.
