Baseball Set for Weekday Game Against Palm Beach Atlantic

Sharks will be looking to reverse their current losing streak.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. –The Nova Southeastern baseball team (6-4), after a long weekend on the road in Cleveland, Miss., return home Tuesday, Feb. 19 for a one-game tilt against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish (8-4).

The Sharks are coming off a rough weekend on the road against No. 2 Delta State, in cold and snow flurry conditions. NSU had a bit of trouble on both sides of the ball and were swept by the Statesmen, being outscored 36-7 over the three-game weekend series.

The Sailfish are coming off a weekend series against Sunshine State Conference affiliate, Eckerd. The Sailfish lost the first of three on Friday, 2-0, before finding some offense in the doubleheader on Saturday, knocking out 12 runs in game one and four in game two, but fell in the weekend series.

The Sharks and Sailfish clashed on four separate occasions last season, and the Sharks were victorious in all four meetings with two of the games being decided by only one run. In the four meetings last season the Sharks outscored the Sailfish, 28-15.

The Sharks will be looking to reverse their current losing slump in this weekday game, which is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start at the NSU Baseball Complex on the campus of Nova Southeastern University.
