FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern softball team (15-21, 2-13 SSC) will take on the Golden Rams of Albany State (21-13) in a doubleheader Friday, March 29, at the AD Griffin Sports Complex, starting at 1 p.m.
The Sharks are coming off a sweep against the Webber International Warriors Wednesday, and are looking to ride the momentum heading into Friday. NSU won game one in a three-hour, 11-inning thriller, 6-5, then took game two easily, 8-0, in six innings.
Albany State comes in on an 11-game winning streak, most recently sweeping Benedict in a doubleheader, 14-0 and 15-0.
The Sharks historically have gotten the best of the Golden Rams, winning five of the six meetings between the teams. When these teams last played in 2009, the Sharks took the series, beating the Rams handily, 12-2, in game one and again in game two, 11-0.
