With the win, the Sharks extend their longest streak of the season to eight.

The Mocs looked to break up the NSU win streak by putting up the first run of the game in the bottom of the second. A RBI single by Kelliann Connors gave Florida Southern a brief 1-0 lead.
The Sharks took the lead for good in the fourth on a Saladrigas two-run shot over the centerfield fence. That home run gives was her fourth of the season and 24th of her record-breaking career.
The Sharks pushed across final run of the game in the sixth. Tanaka led off the inning with a base hit that rolled through the rightfielder's legs, advancing to third on the error. During the next at-bat, Saladrigas hit a strong line drive over the third baseman’s head, bringing Tanaka in easily.
The Mocs set themselves up for a late-game rally in the bottom of the seventh, getting runners on first and second with no outs. Von Doellen then came in and retired the side, including a game-ending double play.
The Sharks will finish their series with Florida Southern Saturday in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
