Baseball Completes Its Annual Alumni Game

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern baseball team completed its final organized game before its season opener next weekend against the alumni, Saturday Jan. 25th at the NSU Baseball Complex.

Dozens of Shark alumni took the diamond to challenge this year's NSU squad. The game was won by the alumni, 8-7, in walk-off fashion. It was a fun and competitive game for both sides as NSU's past and present got to interact and have a good time before the season begins.

"It was great to see our alumni back on campus and competing," said head coach Greg Brown. "Our program values the players and coaches who have put this uniform on before us and look to continue to grow in the years to come."

Assistant coach Dusty Maggs, who contributed greatly to the game, enjoyed being back with his former teammates. "It was great to be out there with old teammates," said Maggs. "It was really fun being able to hang out with them again."

The Sharks will open up their season this weekend, Saturday, Feb. 1 at the NSU Baseball Complex against Tusculum.
