FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern baseball team (24-16) is set to take on the St. Thomas Bobcats (29-16) in the second half of its home-and-home series. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22 at the NSU Baseball Complex.
In the first game between the two sides at St. Thomas, the Bobcats stunned the then No. 15 NSU Sharks in 11 innings, in what turned out to be an over four hour game. The Sharks looked to be in control early, running out to a convincing 7-0 lead, after just three innings of play. The home side didn't back down, tying the game back up by the 7th inning before walking off in the bottom of the 11th.
Brooks Fleming (Sr., Palm City, Fla.) led the team offensively in 3-for-4, two RBI performance.
NSU is in the midst of their toughest stretch of the season, dropping series against three nationally ranked opponents including No. 1 Tampa and No. 5 Lynn.
