FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – After the first and only weekend off this year, Nova Southeastern University's baseball team (9-1) has a busy week ahead of itself, heading to Palm Beach Atlantic on Monday at 6 p.m., hosting Northwood on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and playing a three-game series at home against Albany State, beginning Friday at 6 p.m. and concluding with a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at 12 p.m.
On Monday, the Sharks will travel to PBA, marking the first time that NSU will play in the brand new Rinker Athletic Campus, which opened in February of 2015. The Sailfish are coming off of a three-game sweep of Barry University this past weekend, outscoring the Buccaneers 31-11. The Sharks then host Northwood University on Tuesday, a team that is currently 9-5 with a win over St. Thomas (Fla.).
NSU has been paced by junior slugger
Justin Garcia (Hialeah, Fla.), hitting a team-high three home runs, while driving in nine runs. The Sharks' pitching staff has been dominant so far this season, striking out 91 batters and surrendering just 22 walks.
