NSU started the game with weekend starters
Roberto Baroniel (Sr., Miami, Fla.) and Castellanos. Castellanos had a rough top of the second inning, surrendering three singles and a double to the Sailfish, as they scored three runs to take an early lead. He would then settle down in the top of the third inning and hand the game over to

Kavan Thompson (Jr., Melbourne, Fla.) and
Roche Woodard (Sr., Tampa, Fla.).
Mario Urdaneta (Sr., Ocala, Fla.) then drove a ball to deep centerfield, but the Sailfish centerfielder tracked it down, making a running catch at the warning track.
NSU finally got on the scoreboard in the top of the sixth, scoring two runs on a flyball from
Justin Garcia (Jr., Hialeah, Fla.) that dropped in between the shortstop and centerfielder, scoring Urdaneta and

Andres Visbal (So., Miami, Fla.) popout, ending the threat. PBA added an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth, doubling to right centerfield off of
Devin Raftery (R-Jr., Deltona, Fla.), scoring the runner all the way from first.
