FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University's baseball team (12-3) will play host to Felician College (4-7) on Tuesday night, marking the second times the program will meet. NSU currently holds the advantage in the series, winning the only game back in 2003.
Set to make his third start of the year,
Cameron Churchill (Fr., Palm Harbor ,Fla.) will take the mound for the Sharks, looking for his first win of his young career. Churchill has pitched eight innings so far this season, striking out seven batters and registering a zero in the walks column.
On the offensive front,
Mario Urdaneta (Sr., Ocala, Fla.), this past week's Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week nominee, will look to build on his nine-game hitting streak. During the hitting streak, Urdaneta has raised his average from an unorthodox .231 to an impressive .415. He currently leads the SSC in steals and walks, with nine and 14, respectively.
Felecian College comes into the matchup on the backend of their South Florida tri-county trip that began with two losses to Barry on Sunday afternoon and a loss to Lynn Monday afternoon. The Golden Falcons are led by their six-foot nine-inch, monstrosity of a first baseman, Brennan Price, who has connected for three home runs so far this season.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m. Be sure to tune in, following the links on the
