FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – No. 7 Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team looks forward to enduring exceptional play against NCAA Division II No. 23 Academy of Art on Monday, March 14 at the NSU Tennis Complex in Davie, Fla.
The Sharks are currently 5-1 overall after winning five straight matches in a row to all nationally ranked Div. II teams. Their most recent win was against No. 13 Azusa Pacific with a final team score of 5-1 in Azusa territory.
The No. 23 Academy of Art Urban Knights are 5-3 overall and plan on bouncing back from their most recent defeat against the very talented No. 9 Hawaii Pacific by a score of 5-2 in San Francisco, Calif. The No. 7 NSU Sharks recently defeated No. 9 Hawaii Pacific in neutral location in San Diego, Calif. by a narrow final score of 5-4, which was decided by a tiebreaker in the No. 6 singles match.
NSU Tennis Complex will host another home match for the Sharks against the No. 16 Flagler Saints on Saturday, March 19. The No. 23 Urban Knights will stay in the Sunshine State for a few more days as they challenge No. 4 Barry, No. 5 Lynn, No. 39 Palm Beach Atlantic and No. 12 New York Institute of Technology.
