No. 7 Tennis to Take No. 29 Florida Tech

Sharks welcome the Panthers at home in conference matchup

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – No. 7 Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team (9-1, 1-0 SSC) meets No. 29 Florida Tech (13-2, 2-1 SSC) for a Sunshine State Conference matchup at the NSU Tennis Complex in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Friday, April 1 at 2 pm.

The Sharks last competed on Saturday, March 26 in St. Petersburg when they swept the Eckerd Tritons by a 9-0 final score. The Tritons were unable to get a single score against the Sharks making it a quick match for NSU. On Wednesday the Sharks were due for a top conference battle against the No. 2 Barry Bucs, but due to severe rain the doubles and individual matches were unable to begin.

As for the Panthers, they are coming from losing a 10 game winning streak by a final score of 9-0 versus the No. 2 Barry Bucs in Miami Shores, Florida on Saturday, March 26. Their two SSC victories were versus the Tampa Spartans and the Eckerd Tritons by a mark of 9-0 each.

NSU women's tennis looks to continue its successful path on Sunday when University of Tampa visits NSU at home starting at 12 pm. Prior to the match on Sunday, the Sharks will honor all six graduating seniors in a special ceremony on the NSU Tennis Courts.
