FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University's baseball team (10-7, 3-0 SSC) will take on the American International College Yellow Jackets (1-5) on Wednesday night, marking just the second time the Sharks will play a mid-week game this season.
NSU is coming off of a series sweep of the Eckerd Tritons this past weekend in which the offense hit for an impressive .442 average. Danny Zardon led the offensive surge, launching four home runs, two of which were opposite field taters, and driving in eight runs. The most impressive offensive performance may have come from
Jancarlos Cintron-Torres who raised his average .68 points. On the mound,
Alex Mateo,
Matt Hardy and
Jonny Ortiz each turned in quality starts for the Sharks, while
Devin Raftery struck out seven in two appearances out of the bullpen.
Wednesday night's game is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the NSU Baseball Complex. You can follow along with the Sharks on Twitter at @NSU_Baseball and tune in to watch the game live right
