Box Score FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University softball (11-32, 1-18 SSC) saw a 6-1 loss to Florida Southern (12-25-1, 4-11-1 SSC) on Friday night after a two-hour weather delay.
The Sharks set the pace with
Dajia Jones (Jr., Jacksonville, Fla.) coming up with a two-out RBI double in the bottom of the first inning to score
Megan Granitto (Fr., Wellington, Fla.) and put NSU up 1-0.
The Mocs answered with four runs in the top of the second. With the bases loaded, Dana Mackiewicz reached on a fielder's choice to score Zierra Flodman. Granitto then walked in a run, Jordan Alexander hit a RBI single and a fielding error by

Sophia Devesa (Fr., Pembroke Pines, Fla.) and
Ashley Roe (Jr., Flower Mound, Texas) in the bottom of the sixth but the bases were left loaded. Granitto saw her second hit of the game in the bottom of the seventh, but the Sharks could not rally to overtake the Mocs.
