FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University baseball team (28-12, 14-4 SSC) will host the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish (18-24) on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. at the NSU Baseball Complex.
Jonny Ortiz will be on the mound for the Sharks, looking to earn is fifth win of 2016.
NSU is coming off of a weekend sweep of the Rollins College, outscoring the Tars 31-15.
Kevin Suarez went 7-for-12 on the weekend, collected a hit in each game to extend his on-base streak to 26 games and hitting streak to 15 games.
Daniel Zardon is not far behind, as he has amassed a 21 game on base streak.
PBA comes in to Tuesday night losing 11 of their last 12 games, including being swept by the Sharks on April 8
th and 9
th. NSU outscored the Sailfish 21-11, highlighted by Zardon's 8-for-14 weekend.
Following Tuesday's matchup with the Sailfish, the Sharks will host Embry-Riddle on Friday and Saturday. NSU's seniors will be honored on Saturday prior to the doubleheader, as they will play in their final games at the NSU Baseball Complex.
