Box Score DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University softball (12-39, 2-22 SSC) lost its final game of the season 8-0 to Embry-Riddle (35-13) on Saturday morning.
Dajia Jones (Jr., Jacksonville, Fla.) finished the season with a 4-15 record. She allowed eight hits and four walks in the loss. Kassidy Simons (18-4) held the Sharks to one hit and earned three strikeouts in five innings.
In the bottom of the first, Robi Zimmerman homered to left field to put the Eagles up 3-0. Raquelli Bianco followed that up with another three-run home run in the bottom of the second to put Embry-Riddle ahead 6-0.
Bianco picked up another RBI to put the Eagles up 7-0 in the fourth.
Ashley Roe (Jr., Flower Mound, Texas) got the Sharks' lone hit of the game in the fifth with a single to left field to break up Simons' no-hitter. Embry-Riddle answered with the final run of the game off a RBI single by pinch hitter Hannah Thomas to clinch the 8-0 win.
