No. 7 Tennis Set For Back to Back Conference Matchups

Sharks hit the road again for dual match weekend

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – No. 7 Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team (12-1, 4-0 SSC) is prepared for loaded Sunshine State Conference competition weekend. The Sharks will encounter the No. 40 Florida Southern Mocs (9-6, 2-2 SSC) on Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. on the Warden Tennis Center in Lakeland, Florida and the No. 34 Rollins Tars (9-4, 1-1 SSC) on Sunday, April 10 at 10:30 a.m. on the Bert. W. Martin Tennis Complex in Winter Park, Fla.

The Sharks are coming from upsetting the No. 5 Lynn Knights in a close matchup that concluded 5-4 in Boca Raton, Fla. on Tuesday, April 5. Currently undefeated in the SSC and extending their overall winning streak to twelve games, the Sharks look forward to maintain the great momentum throughout the weekend when they visit the Mocs and the Tars separately.

The Lakeland based, No. 40 Florida Southern Mocs had their most recent conference victory versus the No. 29 Florida Tech Panthers. In a completely different situation, they look to pick up momentum as the season comes to an end with five conference matches left to play including the one versus the No. 7 Sharks on Saturday.

Just east of the Mocs the Sharks will find the No. 34 Rollins Tars who are coming from losing a six game winning streak on Wednesday, April 6 to SSC rivals No. 3 Saint Leo Lions by a mark of 7-2 in Saint Leo, Fla. The Tars are also hoping to end the 2016 regular season with a bang, so they will make sure to give the Sharks a challenge at home on Sunday morning.
