MIAMI, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women's swimming team traveled down south to Miami on Saturday afternoon to compete against Div. I competitor, Florida International University. Despite picking up four NCAA B-Cut times, the Sharks fell to the Panthers, 154-108.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Sharks picked up a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay to kick off the dual meet, finishing in 1:45.89.
- To close it out, NSU picked up the win in the 200 freestyle relay, as the team comprised of Sydney Panzarino, Jordan Shows, Caroline Oster and Jenna Johns posted a time of 1:35.16.
- NSU grabbed four NCAA B-Cut times and six first-place finishes on Saturday afternoon.
TOP PERFORMERS:
- Madison Yelle took second in the 1,000 free to start off the individual events, completing the race in 10:29.44.
- Emma Sundstedt earned her first victory of the day in the 200 freestyle in 1:51.82, and then went on to take the 500 freestyle in 4:58.27. Both of her first-place times were good enough for B-Cut standards.
- In the 100 backstroke, Johns claimed the victory with a time of 56.93, also an NCAA B-Cut time.
- Oster took her second win of the day in the 200 butterfly in 2:06.58, while Panzarino also finished in first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.77. Panzarino picked up yet another B-Cut time for the Sharks with her win.
- Johns and Courtney DeVeny closed out the individual events with second-place finishes in the 100 butterfly and 400 IM, finishing in 56.16 and 4:29.11, respectively.

The Sharks will compete in the final regular-season competition next Saturday, Jan. 27 as they host the Keiser Seahawks. Prior to the meet, the team will honor its seniors,
