MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Competition continued on Saturday with a big doubles day for the Nova Southeastern women's tennis team at the BarryU Invitational at the Buccaneer Tennis Center.
Day 2 Recap
Doubles
- The Sharks swept through their doubles matchups against Palm Beach Atlantic, going a perfect 3-0 against the Sailfish.
- The tandem of Ana Navas and Daniela Obando earned a contested win over PBA's Yuliia Russu and Vanessa Buchbinder, 8-6.
- For the twos, Sarah Wardenburg and Natalie Espinal notched a commanding 8-0 victory over Nicole Reich and Romina Bolagay.
- Closing out the day against PBA, Alexandra Yeardley and Diane Follin-Arbelet topped Elvira Edstrom and Bella Mermersky, registering the second doubles win for Yeardley in the tournament.
Singles
- In another solid match, junior transfer Wardenburg defeated Hillsborough Community College's Shaylee Syme handily, 6-2, 6-3.

Doug Neagle said. "She works every day at practice on the tennis courts and in the weight room, and it shows. Our Sharks also had good doubles all around today."

- Wardenburg earned two wins on the day, one each in doubles and singles after tough-fought losses on the opening day at Barry.
