Box Score WINTER PARK, Fla. – Finishing off road play for 2018, the Nova Southeastern softball team picked up a 6-1 win over Rollins College on Sunday morning at the Rollins College Softball Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP 2ND: With two outs on the board,
Megan Granitto was hit by a pitch and brought home by the next batter,
Megan Maloney, who doubled to left center for a 1-0 NSU lead.
TOP 5TH: The second batter of the inning, Maloney, singled to second and
Kayla Kight drew a walk to put NSU in scoring position. After a groundout by
Kailynn Blackwood advanced both runners,
Lexie Storrer singled to right field to score both for a 3-0 advantage.
TOP 6TH: Leading off,
Alex Suzuki singled to center field and after two outs, Granitto sent an RBI-single to left to plate her and NSU went ahead 4-0.
TOP 7TH: With Storrer on second,
Dana Edmundson homered to left field to bring her home and push NSU ahead, 6-0.
BOTTOM 7TH: The Tars tallied their lone run of the game in the last inning, as Sarah Harrison singled to right field to score Brianna Ernst, who doubled to left center during the prior at bat.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Maloney led the Sharks offensively, going 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
- Storrer went 2-for-3 with two RBI while Edmundson was 1-for-3 with two RBI, as well.
- Storrer picked up the win, pitching all 7.0 innings and allowing just one run on eight hits with five strikeouts.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Edmundson's homer was her fourth of the season.
- Storrer kept the Tars scoreless until the seventh inning.
UP NEXT:
The Sharks will return to the friendly confines of the AD Griffin Sports Complex for their final two series of the season. Starting on Friday, Apr. 20, the Sharks will take on No. 4 Palm Beach Atlantic starting with a single game at 6:00 p.m.
