FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Closing out competition in the 10th-Annual Shark Invitational, the Nova Southeastern women's and men's swim teams swam past the competition, earning first place on both sides. The women accumulated 1,148 points while the men tallied 951 points en route to victory. Sophomore swimmer
Sasha Maslova was awarded the Michael D. Fish Women's High Point Award after tallying a meet-high 75 points, while SCAD's Zoltan Monori earned the award on the men's side.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS:
- Emma Sundstedt earned the first win of the day for NSU in the 1000 freestyle, topping the competition in 10:26.95.
- Wright finished on top of the field in the 100 backstroke, posting a time of 56.59.
- In the 400 IM, Maslova grabbed an individual win with her time of 4:29.66. Her time is also an NCAA B-cut, her first of the season. She also went on to win the 100 butterfly in 56.42.
- Poulsen also won the 100 fly on the men's side, recording a time of 49.81.
UP NEXT
The Sharks will return to SSC action on Oct. 25 as they travel to Boca Raton to take on Lynn. The meet is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
