Tampa responded with a 3-0 run of their own to tie it up, before kills by Alex Boone and Amanda Hall put the advantage back on the Sharks' side, 8-6. NSU was able to build its lead to four points at 12-8 before a 9-1 run by the Spartans made it 17-13 in their favor, forcing the Sharks to use one of their timeouts. A 3-0 run by NSU capped with an ace by Ally Ford late in the set brought the Sharks within one, 19-18, before a 6-1 run by UT closed out the set with the home team on top, 25-19.

SET 2 | Once again, it was NSU who led early in the set, as a kill by Madison Cook made it 4-2 in NSU's favor. From there, the game saw three lead changes and seven ties until with Tampa ahead, 16-14, a 4-0 run sparked by a kill by Boone gave NSU an 18-16 lead. A hitting error by the Spartans brought the Sharks within one point at 22-21, but that would be as close as they would get as Tampa went on to take set two 25-22.

SET 3 | Tampa was firing on all cylinders in the final set, jumping out to a 6-0 lead and forcing the Sharks to use their first timeout early on. A kill by Emily Sippel brought NSU within three at 10-7, before Tampa went on a 15-5 run to finish the sweep with a 25-12 win.
