HOW IT HAPPENED:

SET 1 | Rollins began the game with three unanswered points to grab the lead, holding onto that lead for the remainder of the set. The Sharks were able to come within two late in the set at 19-17 with a kill by Sami Spadaro, and again at 20-18 thank to a Tars service error, but that would be as close as they would get as Rollins went on to take set one 25-20.

SET 2 | Unlike the first, it was the Sharks who held the lead throughout the marathon second set, allowing the Tars to tie the game 10 times, including five in the final stretch. NSU's largest lead of the set was four points, which occurred three times, including at 19-15, which forced Rolling to call a timeout. From the timeout, Rollins was able to make it a one-point game at 21-20 with a 5-2 run, before tying the game at 22-22. Despite multiple ties, the Tars weren't able to steal NSU's lead, as the last tie came at 26-26 before a hitting error by RC's Riley Spurlin and a block by Brittany Landrum and Caylee Cox closed out set two with NSU on top 28-26.

SET 3 | Trailing 8-6 in the third, the Sharks used a 3-0 run to steal Rollins' lead, 9-8. The Tars responded with a 5-0 run to take back the lead, 13-9, and force NSU to call for a timeout. NSU was able to tie the game at 16-16 and again at 18-18 before a 3-0 run by the Sharks finally gave the visitors back the lead, 21-19. After a Rollins timeout, the Tars cut NSU's lead to one point at 21-20, before a 4-1 run by the Sharks, capped with a kill by McKenna Tucek, gave Nova Southeastern an overall 2-1 lead with a 25-21 set three win.

SET 4 | With NSU leading 3-2, a 9-1 Rollins run make it 11-4 in the home team's favor, while also costing Nova Southeastern its first timeout. The Sharks were able to make it a one-point game at 18-17 with a kill by Tucek, but a 5-1 run by Rollins made it a five-point game at 23-18 as NSU used their final timeout. The Sharks fought back with a pair of unanswered points, and cut the deficit to two at 24-22 thanks to a pair of errors by RC, but a kill by Rollins' Erin Burke ended it and forced a final fifth set.

SET 5 | With the Sharks leading 10-9 in the final set, a 4-0 run by the Tars put the advantage on their side, 13-10, as NSU was forced to use one of their timeouts. A kill by Spadaro made it a two-point game at 13-11, but back-to-back kills by RC's Spurlin finished the game with the Tars winning 15-11.
