HOW IT HAPPENED:

SET 1 | Leading by one point after a service ace by Emily Sippel, the Eagles used a 3-0 run to push their lead to 13-9 and force the Sharks to use their first timeout. Embry-Riddle was able to hold onto their lead throughout the majority of the first set until at game point, 24-21, the Sharks comeback started. A kill by Brittany Landrum sparked a 6-0 run by NSU, giving NSU the come-from-behind set one win, 26-24.

SET 2 | At 8-6 in favor of ERAU, a 5-0 run capped with a with a kill by Madison Cook gave the Sharks an 11-8 lead as the Eagles called their first timeout. Embry-Riddle managed to tie the set once more at 12-12, but that would be the last time they were close as a 5-1 run by the Sharks pushed them ahead and for good. Nova Southeastern's largest lead of the set came at 22-16 thanks to a kill by Sippel and after a 6-2 run by ERAU, a kill by Ally Ford closed the set with NSU on top 25-22.

SET 3 | It was all Embry-Riddle in the beginning parts of the third set, as the Eagles went up 10-4 before the Sharks started to chip away at their lead. At 15-12, an ERAU service error gave NSU all the momentum they needed, as the Sharks took off on a 9-1 run to take the lead, 21-16.
