MELBOURNE, Fla. – On the heels of his second-career hat trick, Nova Southeastern forward
Sebastian Loibl has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday.
The honor marks the first of Loibl's career, and is the first offensive award handed out to an NSU player since Faycal Oulahbib was recognized back on Oct. 31, 2016.
On Senior Night this past Saturday, it was the junior that stole the show, as he carried the Sharks to a commanding 4-1 victory over Embry-Riddle. Loibl scored twice in the first half to give NSU early momentum before adding the icing on the cake in the 76
th minute to secure the Sharks' program-record, fifth straight SSC win. He also tailled an assist in the effort, matching his career high for points in a single game while equaling the program's single-game record since joining the NCAA.
NSU will look to remain hot in its regular-season finale Tuesday at Rollins. For online coverage of the action, visit the
