SOFIA GARCIA AUSTT- WOMEN'S GOLF
 
Garcia Austt finished tied for second to help lead NSU to its second consecutive win at the Lady Moc Classic. The sophomore carded rounds of 69, 73, and 70, closing the week just one shot of the pace set by Rollins' Seher Atwal. Garcia Austt led the entire field in both Par-3 and Par-5 scoring with averages of 2.75 and 4.42.
 
 
NATALIE ESPINAL - WOMEN'S TENNIS
 
Still just 17 years old midway through her freshman year, Honduran rookie Natalie Espinal continues to prove her dominance for the Sharks, particularly in SSC play - and why she entered the season as the No. 13 player nationally in the ITA rankings. This past week, Espinal helped the Sharks to complete three 7-0 sweeps of conference opponents, winning all six of her sets in matches vs. Palm Beach Atlantic, Embry-Riddle and No. 16 Rollins. Along with partner Sarah Wardenburg, Espinal also earned wins in 2-of-3 doubles matches - the lone loss going into extras 7-5 at PBA.
 
 
MARK MATTHEWS – MEN'S BASKETBALL
 
Matthews collected his 11th and 12th double-doubles of the season as No. 3 Nova Southeastern knocked off both No. 14 Lynn and Tampa on the road to lock up the program's first-ever SSC regular season title. The redshirt junior averaged 19.5 points and 11.0 rebounds, while adding 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals. In a matchup between the league's Top-2 teams on Wednesday, Matthews recorded 23 points and a game-high 10 boards, helping guide the Sharks back from 14 down against Lynn with just 9:32 to play. Then on Saturday at Tampa, despite battling early foul trouble, he still finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds in NSU's memorable victory. Matthews currently ranks among the Top-3 in the SSC in: scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage.
 
 
EMMA SUNDSTEDT – WOMEN'S SWIMMING
 
For the third-straight year, Nova Southeastern brought home the Women's Swimmer of the Meet award from the SSC Championships, as Emma Sundstedt tallied 77 points, helping the women's side to a silver-medal finish. Sundstedt earned golds in the 1000 free, 500 free and 1650 free while also helping the 800 free relay to a first place finish.
 
 
GARRETT WOLFORTH – BASEBALL
 
Senior transfer catcher and first baseman Garrett Wolforth had a monster week for the Sharks, aiding NSU to a 4-1 weekly record, including an SSC sweep of Embry-Riddle. Collecting hits in all five games to bat .500 on the week, Wolforth had three multi-hit games and registered two doubles and two home runs. Wolforth was the engine of the NSU offense in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader with ERAU, hitting his first career grand slam (first for NSU this year) and then following up with a 2-run homer. In total this week, Wolforth racked up eight RBI and three runs, stealing two bases and only striking out twice in 18 at-bats.
