INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Following day three competition at the NCAA Div. II Championships, the Nova Southeastern women's team has jumped back up to fourth place overall, while the men sit in 11th place. Earning her second medal of the week,
Emma Sundstedt brought home the silver in the 500 freestyle, a season best.

FINAL RESULTS:
- Her highest finish of her Shark career, Emma Sundstedt earned the silver in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:48.46, just .13 seconds behind gold medal winner Georgia Wright.
- Sasha Maslova also grabbed her best placing of her career, fourth, in the 200 butterfly with her time of 1:59.84.
- On the men's side of the 200 fly, Magnus Poulsen took sixth in 1:46.91.
- Taking the top spot in the morning's heat of the 800 freestyle relay, Amilia Nusbaum, Maslova, Laurel Fink and Sundstedt used their time of 7:23.05 to earn fifth overall.
CONSOLATION FINAL RESULTS:
- In the 500 freestyle B-Finals, Vincent Lijoi recorded a time of 4:26.27, good enough for first place.
- In the 100 breaststroke, Caily Friel took sixth with her time of 1:02.89, while Cory Klemm finished in 16th in 55.16.
- On the women's side of the 200 butterfly, Caroline Oster grabbed fifth place in 2:02.19, while Matteo Masiero ended up in fourth after touching in 1:48.39.
PRELIMINARY RESULTS:
- In the second event of the morning, the men's 500 freestyle, Samuel Brettmann posted a time of 4:32.45.
- In the women's 100 back, Jenna Johns touched in 56.72, while in the 100 breaststroke, Kaylee Gassen finished in 1:04.48.
- The men's 800 freestyle relay made up of Alec Dawson, Aleksei Averchenko, Lijoi and Poulsen, posted a time of 6:36.46, which later on in the evening put them in 13th place overall.
ON DECK:
The final day of the 2019 Div. II NCAA National Championships will begin tomorrow morning, Mar. 16, at 10:00 a.m. EST with the preliminaries of the 100 freestyle.
