Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla. – The season-opening win streak for No. 7 Nova Southeastern women's tennis (8-0) grew longer on Monday at West Florida's Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex, as the Sharks defeated Auburn Montgomery (3-3) in neutral-site non-conference action, 6-1.
Doubles
- No. 12 tandem of senior Ana Navas and junior Daniela Obando got the Sharks moving with a 6-2 victory over UAM's Julia Enderink and Sofia Navarro.
- Freshman Natalie Espinal and junior Sarah Wardenburg rolled to a 6-1 win over Sofia Mustre and Tonja Foessmeier in No. 2 doubles to secure the team point.
Singles
- Wardenburg kept the flow going with a straight double 6-0 sweep of Alba De La Torre in No. 4 singles as the first to finish.
- The No. 9 ITA player, Navas wasn't far behind, topping Svenja Petri 6-2, 6-0 in the first flight.
- In the fifth flight, freshman Diane Follin-Arbelet followed with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Enderink.
- At No. 13 in the ITA, rookie Espinal delivered her eighth consecutive win on a 6-4, 6-1 win over Navarro in No. 2 singles for the upper hand in singles.
- Sophomore Chantal Nosievici closed out the singles win with a tiebreaker victory over Mustre, rallying for a first-set loss to win 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 in the sixth flight.
- Although the Sharks notched their eighth consecutive win to open the season and stay perfect, a third-flight loss snaps the NSU sweep streak at six consecutive contests.

Up Next: A busy week continues as the Sharks will undertake three more matches across a four-day span, beginning on Wednesday with No. 8 West Florida (4-2) on their home court at the Carson Tennis Complex. NSU will also face South Region opposition on Friday and Saturday against Mississippi College and West Alabama, respectively.
