FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Miriam Schmoll collected her third shutout victory of the week and dished out a career-high eight strikeouts to help lead the Nova Southeastern softball team to a 1-0 victory over the Eckerd Tritons on Friday night at the AD Griffin Sports Complex.

Lexie Storrer led the inning off with a single to right field before a sacrifice bunt by
Alex Suzuki pushed her to second. After a ground out by
Sydney Lageyre, Storrer scored the lone run of the game when
Kayla Kight sent an RBI-single to right center.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- The Sharks were limited to four hits on the night, as Kight finished 1-for-3 with an RBI.
- Storrer and Lageyre were both 1-for-2 and Suzuki was 1-for-1.
- Schmoll earned the win, pitching all 7.0 innings and allowing two hits all night, striking out eight with two walks.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- This was Schmoll's eighth shutout this season.

The two teams will conclude the three-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon with the first pitch scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
