FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Just ahead of its Sunshine State Conference opener on Wednesday, the Nova Southeastern men's soccer team has seemingly caught the attention of United Soccer Coaches, as the Sharks are now receiving votes in the latest national poll.
Head coach Matt Watts' club is one of four schools within the SSC to either receive votes or be among the Top-25, joined by No. 14 Palm Beach Atlantic, No. 25 Florida Tech and none other than No. 5 Lynn, whom the Sharks will get a crack at on the road Wednesday night.
Following a season-opening loss, Nova Southeastern has since responded with a four-game unbeaten streak, including shutout wins over Georgian Court, Lenoir-Rhyne and Florida Memorial, along with a road draw against a Wingate side that is also receiving votes in this week's poll.
At 5-0 on the year, Adelphi remained at No. 1 in the rankings for the second consecutive week.
