ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 5 Nova Southeastern Sharks women's tennis team (8-0) closed out a perfect 5-0 week Sunday on the courts at the USTA National Campus, delivering a dominating 7-0 victory over Davenport out of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Sharks have now delivered sweeps in 5-of-8 matches, including four consecutive contests.
DOUBLES
- It was all go for the Sharks against the Panthers and doubles play opened the gates, as Isabella Lowrey and Ivana Djordjevic went a straight 6-0 past Emma Philippus and Sophie Gossett at No. 3 doubles.
- Diane Follin-Arbelet and Karolina Snita followed in the second flight with a 6-1 defeat of Danica Malan and Willemien Coetzee to earn the team point.
- Wrapping up the doubles sweep, Daniela Obando and Tingting Pei topped Adeline Nelson and Vladislava Shumilova, 6-4.
SINGLES
- Djordjevic wrapped up a commanding day as the first singles victor, moving past Lillian Mouw in the sixth flight, 6-0, 6-0.
- With the threes, Celia Montero Estevan followed on a 6-1, 6-1 defeat of Nelson.
- NCAA No. 4 Natalie Espinal downed Coetzee, 6-1, 6-1 to secure the match for NSU in the first flight.
- At No. 2 singles, Snita rang in her birthday with a perfect day and a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Malan.
- In the fourth flight, Lowrey moved past Shumilova with a 6-0, 6-3 win.
- Rounding out the match at No. 5 and one day removed from her birthday, Caitlyn Khan earned her third straight victory of the year, topping Gossett, 6-3, 6-2 to lock in the complete NSU sweep of the Panthers.

UP NEXT
After playing five matches in seven days, the Sharks return to campus briefly, but head for the Midwest and the ITA National Indoor Championships starting Friday, hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma at Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond, Okla.
