WINTER PARK, Fla. - The #8/#4 Nova Southeastern Men's and Women's Swimming Teams both earned victories in a dual meet against Rollins on Friday afternoon to begin Sunshine State Conference competition.

HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN'S)
- Martin Hemminghyth, Robert Spekis, Steven Aimable and Alec Dawson also added a win for the Sharks, claiming the victory in the 200-yard Medlay Relay in 1:35.27.
- Luca Alessandrini (1st/9:29.13) and Caleb Fell (2nd/9:54.23) placed first and second in the 1000-yard freestyle, earning another victory for the Sharks.
- Thomas Flower extended the NSU momentum, winning the sixth straight event by claiming victory in the 200-yard freestyle.
- Ben Moers and Anton Mueller placed first and second, respectively in the 100-yard backstroke.
- Alessandro Xella also tallied a win for the Sharks in the 200-yard butterfly.
- Hemmighyth (21.41) narrowly edged out Dawson (21.42) in the 50-yard freestyle.
- Flower and Aimable placed first and second in the 100-free.
- Spencer Hohm added a win in the 200-backstroke for the Sharks, taking the victory by four seconds.
- Luna added a dominant win in the 500-free, finishing ten seconds ahead of the second place finisher from Rollins.
- Aimable added a victory in the 100-butterfly (51.44)
- Xella won the IM on the men's side, finishing in 1:56.21
- Aimable, Dawson, Hemmighyth, and Flower closed the meet with a victory in the 400-free.
HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN'S)
- Celina Marquez, Savanna Best, Aleksandra Maslova, and May Lowy teamed up to win the 200-yard Medley Relay, starting the event strong for the Sharks, completing the race in a combined 1:45.23 a full five-seconds ahead of the Rollins A-team.
- Solana Capalbo, Claire Gass, Laurel Gallaudet, and Cassie Wright placed third in the event.
- Estelle Bauer earned the third consecutive victory of the match for NSU, winning the 1,000-yard freestyle by four seconds (10:31.67)
- Marquez followed up the relay win with an individual win in the 200-freestyle, finishing in 1:54.74.
- Cassandra Wright and Allison Kopas earned first and second place finishes for NSU in the 100-yard backstroke.
- Best added her first individual victory of the meet, winning the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.74.
- Lowy also recorded an individual win for NSU, claiming the 200-yard butterfly in 2:04.90, four full seconds over the second place finisher.
- Lowy used an impressive second lap to earn her second individual win of the meet in the 50-yard freestyle..
- Marquez tallied her third win, second individual of the meet, by winning the 200-backstroke by an impressive seven seconds.
- Best also recorded another individual victory in the 200-backstroke, winning by five seconds.
- Bauer added another long distance win, taking the win in the 500-freestyle.
- Maslova won the 100-butterfly, finishing in 56.98
- Best won her third individual event of the dual, placing first in the 200-IM.
- Capalbo, Allison Kopas, Marquez and Wright won the final event of the afternoon, taking the win of the 400-freestyle (3:34.25)
