INDIANAPOLIS, IN. - Nova Southeastern Men's and Women's Swimming programs began their 2021-22 seasons on Saturday evening, competing in the highly competitive Indy Invitational, hosted by the University of Indianapolis at Centergrove High School.

MEN'S RESULTS
- Nova Southeastern's A-group, led by Steven Aimable, Martin Hemminghyth, Thomas Flower and Alec Dawson, placed fifth in the 200-yard relay to begin the afternoon. The group finished the relay with a time of 1:23.24.
- In the 500-yard freestyle, Luca Alessandrini was the top finisher for the Sharks, placing sixth in 4:43.37.
- Dawson placed 10th in the 50-yard freestyle, with a time of 20.99. Hemminghyth finished 13th (21.18).
- Jarryd Baxter earned a third-place finish in the 200-yard IM, scoring 16 points for the Sharks with a time of 1:51.89.
- Alessandro Xella, Spencer Hohm, and Juan Zapata all added top-15 finishes for NSU in the 200IM.
- During the 400-yard Medley, Nova Southeastern placed seventh, Aimable, Xella, Dawson and Thomas Flower finished the race in 3:25, scoring 26.
- A team of Baxter, Ollie Williamsson, Zapata, and Hemminghyth placed ninth in the event.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
- Solana Capalbo, Aleksandra Maslova, Amilia Nusbaum, and Cassie Wright earned 28 points, placing fifth in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
- Lauren O'Brien, May Lowy, Audrey Rackel, and Amanda Kopas placed 11th in the same event, scoring 14 points for Nova Southeastern.
- Neta Shiff finished third in the 500-yard freestyle, completing the race in 5:04.24, scoring 16 points for NSU.
- Estelle Bauer added an 11th place finish for the Sharks in the 500-freestyle with a time of 5:08.69.
- Wright placed 12th in the 50-yard freestyle, tallying six points for NSU. Capalbo finished 14th (24.51).
- Savanna Best (2nd/2:03.55), Lowy (4th/2:05.38) and Maslova (6th/2:07.07) all placed within the top-10 for NSU in the 200-yard IM.
- Celina Marquez also placed within the top-15, finishing 11th.
- A team of Marquez, Best, Maslova, and Capalbo earned the only Sharks victory of the evening in the 400-yard medley relay, finishing the race in 3:43 and scoring 40 points.
- NSU's second-team of Wright, Claire Gass, Lowy, and Nusbaum placed fifth, adding 28 points for Nova Southeastern.
