FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Nova Southeastern Swimming hosted the Bobcats of St. Thomas in a dual meet on Saturday morning. The Sharks women's team earned a 194-60 victory, while the men's team won 183.5 to 75.5. Celina Marquez set a new school record during the event, establishing a new-best in the 200-backstroke.

HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN)
- Nova Southeastern began its dominant performance with a win in the 200-relay, as Celina Marquez, Savanna Best, Aleksandra Maslova, and Cassandra Wright finished with a time of 1:44.66.
- Victoria Ortiz comfortably won the 1000-freestyle, completing the race in 10:46, a full 25-seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Later in the meet, Ortiz also won the 500-freestyle.
- Solana Capalbo narrowly edged out Estelle Bauer to win the 200-freestyle, with Capalbo finishing in 1:56.17.
- Marquez continued her solid performance on the day, winning the 100-backstroke.
- Best earned her first individual victory of the morning, taking first place in the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:02.12.
- Maslova, Carin Sanchez, and Brady Estrada placed first, second, and third, respectively in the 200-butterfly.
- Capalbo added her second individual victory of the day, winning the 50-freestyle in 24.36
- Estrady took a victory in the 100-freestyle for Nova Southeastern, finishing in 53.50
- Marquez made NSU swimming history, setting the school record in the 200-backstroke with a time of 1:56.93.
- Best added another individual victory to her total on the dual, finishing 10-seconds in front in the 200-breaststroke.
- Maslova took first place in the 100-butterfly.
- Wright, Best, Marquez, and Capalbo closed the dual with a win in the 200-freestyle relay.
HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN)
- Martin Hemminghyth, Alessandro Xella, Steven Aimable, and Anton Mueller were victorious in in the 200-relay.
- Luca Alessandrini finished 30-seconds ahead of the second-place contestant in the 1000-freestyle, earning the fourth consecutive win of the dual for the Sharks.
- Jarryd Baxter earned a win in the 200-freestyle for NSU, finishing in 1:40.47.
- Aimable won the 100-backstroke for Nova Southeastern, as well as the 100-butterfly
- Robert Spekis took first place in the 100-breaststroke, narrowly earning the win over Xella.
- Spencer Hohm won the 200-butterfly for NSU.
- Mueller claimed victory in the 50-freestyle, winning in 20.64, while also adding a win in the 100-freestyle.
- Baxter added his second individual win of the day, taking the victory in the 200-backstroke.
- Rafaele Chambasian took first place in the 200-breaststroke, winning by less than a tenth of a second.
- Alessandrini won the 500-freestyle, earning his second win of the dual.
- Aimable, Hemminghyth, Hichkad, and Mueller were victorious in the 200-relay, finishing in 1:22.27.
