This Week in Sharks Athletics

Shark fans have plenty of reasons to be celebrating this week. The No. 1 men's basketball team made their second-ever appearance at the top of the NABC Division II poll and continued their historic undefeated season with another pair of victories, including clinching their second Sunshine State Conference regular season title, showing why they're a force with the NCAA Tournament looming. Meanwhile, the baseball squad has kicked off their campaign with a six-game winning streak, the longest of Head Coach Laz Gutierrez's career, by earning wins against Valdosta State and Missouri Southern State over the weekend. The men's and women's swimming teams are ready to dive into the pool and vie for their SSC-best sixth championships, beginning on Wednesday. Women's Tennis picked up three more victories to start 4-0 and will face one of their toughest tests of the entire season when they face off with No. 10 Lynn on the road on Wednesday, and Women's Basketball is looking to solidify their place in the upcoming SSC Tournament with just three games left to improve their position. Saturday will mark the final home game of the regular season for both basketball teams, and Senior Day ceremonies will take place prior to each game.Sharks Track & Field begins their 2022 schedule on Saturday, hosting the Ansin Invitational from the Ansin Sports Complex.
