HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Top-6 teams in the field are all separated by only seven shots, with Barry holding a one-stroke edge over Saint Leo at two-under par. Both the Buccaneers and Lions are the only two teams currently in red numbers.
- Florida Southern sits in third at the moment at two-over par, while Lynn and Rollins are just one back of the Sharks in a tie for fifth at five-over.
- An even-par afternoon that featured 14 pars helped Javier Calles stay put within the Top-10 in sole possession of ninth. The sophomore wrapped up round two at one-under par for the tournament, three off the pace set by four different players.
- Hay made the climb into a tie for 10th following one of the more impressive rounds on Monday. Hay shot even-par on the front nine before firing a bogey-free, three-under par on the back to post a 69. Hay is now even-par for the tournament.
- Like Hay, a strong back nine sent Emanuel Olofsson into the clubhouse tied for 13th after a round of (+1) 73 Monday. The Swede shot two-under over his last 12 holes, and is now one-over through 36 holes.
- Jonny Cachon certainly wishes he could have the Par-5 17th back, yet still managed to record his second straight round of (+2) 74 to grab a share of 29th heading into the final round.
- Freshman Josep Serra finished with a (+2) 74 in round two, and now stands tied for 36th.
STATS OF THE DAY:
- Following eagles by both Cachon and Serra on Monday, the Sharks are the only team in the field to make more than two throughout the first two rounds.
- Monday's overall scoring average finished at 74.60, .59 strokes easier than Sunday's opening round.
BEYOND THE SCORECARD:
- This year marks the first time the SSC Championship has been held at Grasslands.
