FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Men's and Women's Swimming teams hosted Keiser (NAIA) on Saturday morning at the NSU Aquatics Center. The Sharks men's team was victorious 139-123, while the NSU women's team won 186-76. Prior to the meet, Nova Southeastern Athletics honored the 2022-23 Sharks Senior Class, which featured:

HOW IT HAPPENED (Men's)
- Luca Alessandrini was victorious in the 1000-freestyle for the Sharks, recording a time of 9:41.75
- Thomas Flower won the 200-freestyle, finishing in 1:40.48
- Later in the meet, Alessandrini added a victory in 200-butterfly for Nova Southeastern, posting a 1:53.64 in the event
- Flower was victorious in the 100-freestyle for NSU, winning in 45.08
- Jarryd Baxter earned a win in a competitive 200-backstroke, finishing in 1:52.65, just four-tenths of a second ahead of the next finisher. Baxter also won the 200-IM for NSU, adding nine points to the NSU total
- Olle Williamsson won the 200-breastroke for NSU, recording a time of 2:05.39
- Alessandrini's third win of the morning came during the 500-freestyle, posting a time of 4:37.10, and adding 10 points to Nova Southeastern's ledger.
- Steven Aimable, Umberto Marsic, Mateus Ribeiro, and Thomas Flower finished the meet with a win in the 400-freestyle relay for NSU.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Women's)
- Mollie Morfelt, Savanna Best, Sasha Maslova, and Emily Trieschmann started the meet with a victory for the Sharks in the 200-medley relay. The group scored 11-points and posted a time of 1:44.28.
- Estelle Bauer won the 1000-freestyle for Nova Southeastern, finishing in 10:29.45
- Emilia Ronningdal (1st/1:52.36) and Ilaria Murzilli (2nd/1:54.35) placed first and second for NSU in the 200-freestyle, adding a combined 13-points for Nova Southeastern
- In a competitive 100-backstroke race, Celina Marquez won the 100-backstroke for the Sharks and posted a time of 57.73
- Best cruised to the win for NSU in the in the 100-breaststroke, finishing four seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, and recorded a time of 1:03.31.
- Maslova won the 200-butterfly for the Sharks, posting a time of 2:01.91 in the effort
- Marquez added nine points for NSU in the 200-backstroke, finishing in 2:06.53
- Best distanced herself from the pack in the 200-breaststroke, posting a time of 2:18.98 – nearly eight seconds ahead of Keiser's Lily Robinson
- Trieschmann won the 500-freestyle for the Sharks and recorded a time of 4:57.23. Later in the meet, Emily followed with another individual victory in the 200-individual medley (2:05.96)
- Maslova added a second individual victory, winning the 100-butterfly for NSU, finishing in 55.40
- Ronningdal, Morfelt, Best and Murzilli closed out the regular season with a win in the 400-freestyle relay for NSU, earning 11 points, and finishing in 3:30.91

Today's meet concludes the regular season for the Nova Southeastern Men's and Women's Swimming programs. The Sharks will next be in the pool for the Sunshine State Conference Championship from February 15 – 18. NSU's Women's team will seek to defend its back-to-back titles, while the Sharks men's team looks for their first crown since 2018-19.
