FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Men's and Women's Swimming programs hosted day one of the 12
th-annual Shark Invitational on Friday afternoon from the NSU Aquatics Center. Florida Southern, Barry, Lynn, St. Thomas, Florida Southern, Barry, and Savannah College of A & D were the teams competing and swimming with the Sharks.
STANDINGS:
Women's ~ 1st - Tampa (427 points), 2nd - Nova Southeastern (347 points), 3rd - Florida Tech (237 points), 4th - Lynn (200 points), 5th - Florida Southern (179 points), 6th - St. Thomas (83 points), 7th - Savannah College of A & D (52 points), 8th - Barry (23 points)
Men's ~ 1st - Tampa (448 points), 2nd - Nova Southeastern (254 points), 3rd - Florida Southern (235 points), 4th - Florida Tech (218 points), 5th - St. Thomas (147 points), 6th - Lynn (117 points), 7th - Savannah College of A & D (110 points), 8th - Barry (21 points)
EVENTS:
200 Medley Relay, 1000 Freestyle, 200 Individual Medley, 50 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, 400 Individual Medley, 200 Freestyle, 400 Freestyle Relay
(Women's)
- The relay group of Mollie Morfelt, Emilia Ronningdal, Rafaela Raurich, and Emily Trieschmann placed second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:45.35.
- Trieschmann took second in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:15.38.
- With a time of 2:06.83, Ronningdal placed second in the 200 IM.
- Raurich came in third in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.45.
- Ronningdal captured the first victory of the day for the Sharks in the 400 IM with a time of 4:30.26. Behind Ronningdal, May Lowy took second with a time of 4:32.75.
- Trieschmann claimed first place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:50.66.
- Emily Trieschmann, Emilia Ronningdal, Maria Goncalves, and Rafaela Raurich took second in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:29.41.
