CHAMPS X3! NSU Women's Swimming Claims Third Consecutive SSC Title

Emily Trieschmann named SSC Female Swimmer of the Meet, Men's finish in Second Place

CLEARWATER, Fla. – For the third consecutive season, the Nova Southeastern Sharks Women's Swimming team has earned the Sunshine State Conference title. The top-ranked Sharks won 10 events over the course of the five-day meet and set numerous meet records, including total points (1,041). It is the seventh title in program history.

Emily Trieschmann was recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Swimmer of the Meet. Trieschmann scored 80-points for Nova Southeastern, breaking a total of five records – including setting the NCAA Division II 1000-freestyle top-time.

Head Coach Ben Hewitt has guided the Sharks on their dynastic run, leading Nova Southeastern to three consecutive SSC Championships – dating back to the 2019-20 season. "I'm honored to coach this group of student-athletes. They excelled throughout the weekend against some stellar competition," said Hewitt. "We believed in ourselves and we were tested throughout. I'm confident we have prepared them properly and now our focus shifts to the NCAA Championships. I want to thank my staff and our seniors for their outstanding contributions."
