FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. –Nova Southeastern baseball is set for a Sunshine State Conference matchup against Florida Southern. The three-game series is slated to begin on Friday, April 14 with the final game scheduled for Sunday, April 16. The series will take place at Palm Beach State College, due to severe weather impacting South Florida.
- The Sharks are 6-9 in SSC play in 2022-2023, while the Mocs boast a 10-5 record.
- NSU owns an edge in the all-time series, leading 24-17.
- Nova Southeastern won the most recent series in 2021-22, taking two out of three games on the road.

Nova Southeastern has been led by its ace starting pitcher,
Carlos Rey. The junior has struckout 65 batters and is holding opponents to a .193 batting average through 50 innings pitched. Offensively, the Sharks have been led by a duo of .300 hitters in
Duncan Pastore (.390) and
Daniel Irisarri (.308).
Florida Southern boasts a strong power lineup, leading the SSC with 62 home runs as a team. Individually, the Mocs are led by Bryce Safferwich, who is hitting .410, and starting pitcher Nathan Madej (3.20 ERA).
