LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Nova Southeastern Sharks traveled to Lakeland for the FLRunners.com Invitational and had a strong showing, as the women secured a second-place team finish in the Women's 6K Race.

- Leena Saidi led the Sharks, and all runners, with a first-place time of 22:49.38. Teammate Anna Simpson came in ninth place with a time of 24:44.85 to give NSU two top-10 finishers.
- The Sharks finished in second place as a team, beating out SSC foes Lynn University, Palm Beach Atlantic and Eckerd.
