Round One Results
- Jorge Berea (7th/72) paced the Sharks in the opening round of action at the SSC Championship, recording five birdies on the front-nine. Berea parred six holes on the back-nine, including four consecutive following the turn, and ended his day at an even-par with another pair of pars.
- Elias Mardeni (23rd/75) tallied his first of two birdies in the opening round on the first hole. Mardeni ended the round with 11 pars and joined Berea inside the top-25.
- Bruno Marques was the third Shark to birdie the first hole of the round and closed the day with some momentum after recording four consecutive pars.
- Ivan Ponsdomench recorded four straight pars, settling in after an early bogey, and closed the front-nine with an additional two pars. Ponsdomench ended the day seven-over.
- Will McGhie finished the opening round ten-over.
