Marques Named First Team All-American

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Nova Southeastern Men's Golf has another All-American.

After wrapping up at the NCAA National Championship at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Nevada, the Golf Coaches' Association of America announced that Bruno Marques has been named a 2026 NCAA Division II PING First Team All-American.

Marques is named a First Team All-American after being named to the All-South Region Team earlier this week.

Marques has been the highest ranked golfer for the Sharks throughout the season which included an independent appearance at the Tulum Championship on the PGA's Korn Ferry Tour.

In the NCAA season, Marques turned in three top three finishes, placing second at the Citrus Intercollegiate Tournament in October, the Shark Invitational in March, and most recently was the runner-up individually at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional.

Against NCAA Division II opponents he went 729-160-25 against 914 individuals on the season.

It is the 496th All-American award earned by an NSU athlete and 43rd for the men's golf team. Marques becomes the 301st unique All-American in Nova Southeastern athletics history, and the 26th for Men's Golf.

Although Ivan Ponsdomenech was not named a First Team All-American, as the other Shark named to the All-South Region Team, he still does have an opportunity to be named an All-American as the GCAA will announce the remainder of its All-Americans next month in June.
